This shouldn’t be a general topic like “food security” or “climate adaptation” but something more specific. What is it about a topic you want to explore? I like working with people who have previous work experience or an interest in engaging in environmental governance or decision making in the future.

I will expect applicants at higher leves to have more a specific idea of the work they want to do. 

Our group has benefitted from funding across a wide range of funding agencies, including NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR, NFRF, CFREF, Nippon Foundation, Canadian Commission for UNESCO, MITACS, among others. While it is always beneficial for a prospective student or postdoc to have their own funding, I will try to direct existing funding or apply for funding to support someone if it is a good fit.
